What an excting time here at The Grapes. Its the perfect place to have a drink or bite to eat and get to see the Pirelli Rally cars outside the Hotel Friday evening. Registration takes place in the Grapes today, our lucky winners of the Rally Experience draw will have been for their thrill ride through Kershope Forest today. A big thank you to the Cumberland Sporting Car Club the and Pirelli for the very generous prize as a fundraiser for village funds.

Its been a great April, Easter was busy and its the month for weddings. Our warmest congratulations to our newly weds and soon to be wed. Theres not a better place for your Wedding Venue than the Grapes Hotel, and its very close to the famous Gretna green so ideal if you would like you wedding meal here or party after.

Our Early Bird menus continue to be popular and people are often booking, just to make sure they get a table in the bar. Of course our ever good day and evening menu still runs along side so there is always plenty of choice.

Hot off the press!  if you are keen on fishing them look no further!  The Grapes Hotel is proud to announce  Corporate tickets to fish the Liddel and Border Esk. These day fishing  tickets are available free to guests who stay with us so dont delay contact ur for further details.

 

 

 

Good Luck to all who are taking part in the 12 & 24hrs of Exposure European Championships this weekend in Newcastleton. Sip Events have again organized another great weekend. Its so good to see Sara and Paul from Sip and of course all the team from Exposure Lights. It makes our job here at The Grapes Hotel really worthwhile to see visitors returning. The Newcastleton Cycling Festival has been such a great week for the village and for the team here at The Grapes. The feedback from the Sportifs at the weekend could not have been better. Well done to the participants.

Rock Uk, the Adventure Centre at Whittaugh Park, here in Newcastleton have worked so hard to help bring the week of events together. A big thank you from The Grapes to Lee, Claire, Sally & team.

We have a fantastic weekend to look forward to so if you are out and about to watch the fun, look out for the Copshaw Common Riders afternoon of fun in Douglas Square tomorrow and remember to pop in the The Grapes and Vine Restaurant for a Bar Meal, snack or drink.

The Newcastleton Cycling Festival 31st March - 8th April has been well promoted in the newspapers. We are already busy booking rooms for the week here at The Grapes Hotel. Bookings are also in for the Kielder 100 in September so its all looking good on the cycling front.

For motor sport enthusiasts it is now confirmed that the Pirelli International rally will use the Grapes Hotel for its registration station. It is great to have them back. We will be selling raffle tickets here in the Grapes from1st April and you could win a chance to ride as a passenger in a Rally car on Thursday 26th April. Come and have a welcome break in the Grapes and who knows you might be a lucky winner

We still have places left for Mother's day Lunch, but if you cant make it why not purchase a Grapes Gift Voucher. Its the perfect present.

Its good that the sun has come through a bit, so dont forget if you are out and about walking, cycling, motorbiking or out for a drive the Grapes is the place to pop in for a bite to eat or drink

A warm welcome to all the competitors and supporters of the Macmillan 4x4 rally this weekend. It was great to see so many of you in The Grapes for Bar meals and in the Vine Restaurant last night.  We all wish you a great weekend and enjoy your stay at Rock Uk Adventure Centre here in Newcastleton.

A lot of guests have taken advantage of our Spring Break offer with 3 nights for the price of 2 until the end of March, including some regular guests, its always so good to see returning customers.

Paul & Sara Sip Event organizers are staying with us once more, great to welcome you both. Dont forget the 24hr and 12hr Challenge is 7th April this year and will be at the end of the Newcastleton Cycling Festival Week. We still have rooms available but they are filling up fast.

Wedding bookings are up this year and it is the lovely part of our job to help plan the Special day

All in all a good week at The Grapes, a few really early breakfasts!!  but thats what we do here and if you are a guest working in the area you need a good breakfast when you start the day.

The Grapes Hotel new Early Bird Bar Menu was a real success last evening. For a first night we were so pleased to receive such positive feedback. The menu will be available to download from our front page within a couple of days, meanwhile pop in and check it out.        It will be offered  everyday from 4.00pm -6.30pm (last orders 6.30pm) and it is ideal for those who want an early bar supper, a lighter size bite or an indulgent bottle of wine for 2 with cheese board as an example. It will be the same excellent quality food as always, we are simply giving you more choice.

Our normal extensive day time and evening menu will still be available as normal each day. Dont forget to book for Valentines Day or Mothering Sunday.

Hi to all, and a big thank you to the Newcastleton Heritage Association who had their annual Burns Lunch at The Grapes Hotel. Thank you and we look forward to the opening of the Heritage Centre in newcastleton opening in Spring. It well worth a visit to look up local history and start your search for ancestors.
